React Full Stack Developer (AI-First)

LearnFormula is an online continuing education platform helping professionals across North America - CPAs, attorneys, engineers, and more - earn the credits they need to maintain their certifications.

The Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who works AI-first - someone who leverages tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot to ship production code fast, while deeply understanding what that code does and why.

This isn't about writing every line by hand. It's about knowing how to architect solutions, direct AI tools with precise prompts, critically review generated code, and ship reliable software. You'll work across our entire stack - React, Next.js, MySQL, AWS - as part of a small, high-output team where every developer touches everything.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship features across the full stack using AI coding tools as your primary workflow
  • Architect solutions and make technical decisions - then use AI to implement them efficiently
  • Review AI-generated code with a critical eye for correctness, security, and performance
  • Work directly with the CTO alongside developers, QAs, and designers
  • Own features end-to-end: from understanding the problem to deploying the solution
  • Work with MySQL databases and integrate with AWS services (S3, SES, DynamoDB), Stripe, and AI APIs

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional full stack web development experience
  • Strong proficiency with React and Next.js (App Router)
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as a core part of your workflow - not just autocomplete, but directing AI to build features
  • Ability to read, understand, and critique code you didn't write - whether from a teammate or an AI
  • Experience with MySQL and relational database design
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred: S3, Lambda, SES)
  • Understanding of system design and the ability to make architectural decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Stripe or payment processing integrations
  • Experience with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) or CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with video streaming or ed-tech platforms
